Proceeds from this campaign will go to supporting Free Arts. Free Arts, located in Los Angeles, uses art to restore hope, resiliency and self-esteem in children ages 4-18 who have experienced abuse, neglect, poverty and/or homelessness. Art is used as a process to develop and cultivate leadership skills, self-esteem, resiliency, and a belief in a positive future. Studies show that engaging in art – dance, music, drawing, painting, writing or other art forms – gives children a chance for a fuller, happier life.
This charity and this campaign is near and dear to Catherine, as she’s experienced first-hand being taken away from her parents which resulted in her being placed in a foster home for a short period of time.
